Silent Compositions - DigitalNature

Snæfellsjökull Part I

What does it mean to listen to nature?

I’ve often asked myself how to translate the sounds of wind, ice, and shifting earth into music. Can a theremin echo the pulse of a glacier? Can digital textures carry the memory of a volcanic breath?

From that search is inspired the silent compositions of Snaefellsjökull.

Snæfellsjökull Part II

I try not to imitate nature, but to be guided by it. To let it shape the way I listen, and the way I create.

Colorful houses, including red, blue, green, yellow, and white, on rocky, snow-covered land near water, with mountains in the background.
